Rep. Dan Crenshaw, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, has recently shared his perspectives on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. Crenshaw, who succeeded Ted Poe in 2019 and holds a BA from Tufts University, continues to engage with constituents and broader audiences on social media.
On May 12, 2025, Crenshaw referenced comments made by Border Czar Tom Homan regarding strategies to combat drug cartels in Mexico. “Border Czar @RealTomHoman gets it: ‘We need to strike at the cartels in Mexico.’ As he points out, this can and should be done alongside the Mexican government,” he stated. He emphasized that it is now up to Congress and the Cartel Task Force he leads to provide the Trump administration with necessary resources.
The following day, on May 13, 2025, Crenshaw posed a question about consumer preferences concerning online marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart. “Do you wish Amazon, Walmart, and other major online marketplaces would voluntarily add a filter to list products that are made in the USA first?” This inquiry reflects ongoing discussions about supporting domestic manufacturing.
Later that same day, Crenshaw expressed frustration over what he perceives as misinformation being spread by Democrats regarding Medicaid reform. “Be prepared for a lot of lies and fact checks over next 24 hours,” he warned followers. He vowed to persistently challenge these claims and expose what he described as grandstanding by political opponents.
