Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 2nd district since 2019, has been active on social media sharing his perspectives on various political issues. His recent tweets address the ongoing debates over legislative matters and offer commentary on statements made by other officials.
On May 15, 2025, Crenshaw commented on the current legislative battle regarding what he referred to as the “Big Beautiful Bill.” He highlighted his view of the Democrat position in this debate: “THEY WANT TO RAISE YOUR TAXES IN DECEMBER.” According to him, this stance is essentially their campaign slogan.
The following day, May 16, 2025, Crenshaw expressed appreciation for a statement from Adam Gordon, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California. The quote addressed leaders of the Sinaloa Cartel: “To the leaders of the Sinaloa Cartel…you will be betrayed by your friends. You will be hounded by your enemies…”
On May 17, 2025, Crenshaw critiqued what he described as misleading narratives from Democrats concerning Republican policies. He asserted that Democrats were exaggerating claims about Republicans’ intentions: “Republicans are out here trying to starve kids and push grandma off a cliff.” Instead, he stated that many individuals enrolled in Medicaid do not require it.
Dan Crenshaw was born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 and currently resides in Humble. He graduated from Tufts University with a BA in 2006.
