Rep. Dan Crenshaw, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, recently shared several updates on social media. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, and a graduate of Tufts University, Crenshaw took to Twitter to discuss various issues ranging from local sports achievements to international politics and domestic unrest.On June 8, 2025, Crenshaw celebrated local sports victories by congratulating Kingwood Baseball for winning the state title that evening and the Softball team for their victory the previous weekend. He expressed his pride with a tweet:

“State Champs! Huge congratulations to Kingwood Baseball for winning the state title tonight, and to Softball for claiming theirs last weekend.”

Later that day, he addressed political concerns regarding Colombia’s situation. In a tweet at 02:52 AM UTC, he mentioned:

“Horrible news. We don’t know details, but this was the conservative candidate running against the current socialist President who has destroyed years of hard fought progress by allowing the cartels to gain power again in Colombia.”

He concluded with a hope for support towards Uribe amidst these challenges.In another post on June 8 at 19:31 UTC, Crenshaw commented on civil unrest in Los Angeles related to immigration enforcement policies. He tweeted:

“Scenes from LA look like a collapsing third-world war zone… so President Trump sent in 2,000 National Guardsmen to restore order.”

Crenshaw thanked local law enforcement while criticizing local leaders’ responses.

Dan Crenshaw is known for his strong opinions on both national and international matters. Having served since replacing Ted Poe in 2019, he continues to be an active voice representing Texas’s interests.
