Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 2nd district, has shared his views on various national and international issues through a series of tweets. These posts cover topics such as China’s Belt and Road Initiative, U.S.-Mexico relations regarding border security, and recent changes to Title IX rules.

On February 3, 2025, Rep. Dan Crenshaw expressed concerns about China’s Belt and Road Initiative, suggesting that it entices nations with development promises but ultimately results in debt and increased influence from the Communist Party. He referenced a foreign trip by Secretary Rubio in his post: “China’s Belt & Road hooks nations with promises of development but delivers debt and Communist Party influence instead. If this is the result of @SecRubio’s very first foreign trip, we’ve got a lot to look forward to.”

Later the same day, Crenshaw commented on tariffs imposed by former President Trump on Mexico. He noted that these measures were effective in prompting Mexico to agree to deploy troops to the border. However, he emphasized the need for further actions against cartels affecting both countries: “Trump’s tariffs on Mexico are already working- they’ve agreed to send 10,000 troops to the border. But that shouldn’t be our final ask. We need that kind of dedication against the cartels that have a stranglehold on Mexico and poison our streets with fentanyl.”

In another tweet posted later on February 3rd, Crenshaw celebrated what he termed a victory for reality and common sense regarding Title IX regulations. He applauded the new rule defining sex based on biological reality as a reversal of what he described as an attempt by President Biden to alter these definitions: “Major win for reality and common sense. The new Title IX rule correctly defines sex based on biological reality, reversing Biden’s radical attempt to rewrite it. This protects women’s sports, privacy, and opportunities. Basic truth isn’t up for debate.”
