Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. Congressman from Texas, recently shared a series of posts on his social media account discussing the closure of a major Planned Parenthood facility in Houston, commemorating an unspecified event with “Never Forget,” and highlighting an act of heroism by a young student.
On August 25, 2025, Crenshaw commented on the closure of a significant reproductive health clinic: “On September 30th, the largest Planned Parenthood in the country, here in Houston, is shutting down. Good.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with Texas outlawing abortion, since PP claims abortions make up only a small fraction of their business.
Or maybe, just maybe, Planned”.
The following day, August 26, 2025, he posted a brief message: “Never Forget. https://t.co/4bCI077zw4”.
On August 27, 2025, Crenshaw highlighted an incident involving two students during a shooting: “Incredible bravery and heroism.
A fifth grader from Annunciation Catholic School said his friend jumped on top of him during the shooting and took a bullet to the back to protect him.
He’s in the hospital now. They think he’s going to be okay.
Tara and I are praying for him,”.
Crenshaw has represented Texas in Congress since winning his first election in 2018. He has consistently secured re-election against various opponents over subsequent cycles—defeating Todd Litton in 2018 (52.8% to 45.6%), Sima Ladjevardian in 2020 (55.6% to 42.8%), Robin Fulford in 2022 (65.9% to 34%), and Peter Filler in 2024 (65.7% to 34.3%).
