On September 18, 2024, Rep. Crenshaw expressed concerns about the influx of drugs into American communities, highlighting the severe consequences and financial gains for cartels. He stated, “Cartel drugs are flooding into our communities, taking the lives of tens of thousands of Americans every year, while the cartels rake in obscene profits.”
The following day, on September 19, he announced an upcoming event: “On October 10th, I will be hosting my 6th Annual Healthcare Innovation Summit in The Woodlands.” This summit aims to bring together healthcare professionals and industry leaders to discuss advancements in healthcare.
Later that day, Rep. Crenshaw raised questions about security measures for former presidents and presidential nominees who have been targets of assassination attempts. He commented on public opinion regarding their protection level compared to sitting presidents: “It shouldn’t have to be a question: should a former president…get the same level of protection as a sitting president?”
