Representative Dan Crenshaw, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Texas, shared several posts on his social media account in mid-August 2025, ranging from commentary on Texas culture to reflections on world history.

On August 15, 2025, Crenshaw wrote, “Add Texas brisket and 24 hour pharmacies and they’ll be asking to join the union”. Later that same day, he commented on another topic with the statement, “Well that’s a pretty epic flex”.

On August 18, 2025, Crenshaw offered a historical perspective with a post stating: “Interesting history lesson for your Sunday evening- Two thousand years ago, the Silk Road connected China to Rome. It wasn’t just silk moving along those routes… it was gunpowder, paper, even the Black Plague. Empires rose and fell depending on who controlled that road. Whoever”.

Crenshaw has represented his district in Congress since first winning election in 2018. He has consistently secured re-election by wide margins over multiple cycles: defeating Todd Litton in 2018 with 52.8% of the vote; Sima Ladjevardian in 2020 with 55.6%; Robin Fulford in 2022 with 65.9%; and Peter Filler in 2024 with 65.7%.
