Representative Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. Congressman who has consistently won re-election since 2018, recently addressed issues ranging from honoring military service to international cooperation and religious freedom in a series of posts on his social media account.

On August 7, 2025, Crenshaw recognized the sacrifices of Purple Heart recipients and their families, stating, “Today is the day to tell those Purple Heart recipients, or those who were given their loved one’s Purple Heart posthumously at their grave side ‘never forget.’ Never forget is how we let them know we’re in it with them as Americans and that their service and their sacrifice is”.

A day later, on August 8, 2025, he addressed the issue of cartel violence along the U.S.-Mexico border. Crenshaw wrote, “Cartels don’t respect borders or human lives. That’s why America and Mexico must stand shoulder-to-shoulder, combining our strength to crush them once and for all.”

On August 10, 2025, Crenshaw commented on the topic of religion in public life following his participation at a faith-based event. He stated: “To the Left, ‘separation of church and state’ is a weapon to push faith out of public life. But our Founders designed it as a shield to *protect* the freedom of faith. Yesterday at the Humble Pray Unity Gathering at Northpark Christian Church, I broke down this myth and”.

Crenshaw has represented Texas’s 2nd congressional district since first winning election in 2018. In subsequent elections—including victories over Todd Litton (2018), Sima Ladjevardian (2020), Robin Fulford (2022), and Peter Filler (2024)—he secured margins ranging from just over half to nearly two-thirds of the vote each cycle.
