Congressman Morgan Luttrell, representing Texas’ 8th district, shared a series of tweets on January 30, 2025. The tweets covered various topics including a tragic event, immigration policies, and a local school team.

On January 30, 2025, Congressman Luttrell expressed his condolences regarding a plane crash in Washington D.C. “Leslie and I are heartbroken for everyone involved in the tragic plane crash in DC last night. Our prayers are with all those impacted, their loved ones, and the dedicated first responders.”

Later that day, he commented on immigration statistics at the southern border following recent policy changes. “Illegal migrant encounters at the southern border have dropped by over 60% since President Trump took office last week. Incredible how fast things change when commonsense policies are put in place and our laws are enforced.”

In another tweet from January 30, Luttrell showed support for students participating in a mock trial competition. “I ran into the Mock Trial team from The Woodlands Christian Academy at the San Jacinto Courthouse today. Good luck to y’all, I know success is in your futures.”
