Congressman Morgan Luttrell, who represents Texas’s 8th district, recently shared updates on his activities and legislative priorities through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).

On September 4, 2025, Luttrell announced his return to Washington after traveling across his district during August. He wrote, “Back in Washington after spending August traveling across TX-08. We passed historic national security investments this week, but there’s still more work ahead delivering on our priorities.”

The following day, September 5, Luttrell posted a message honoring service members: “Land of the free because of the brave. Never forget them.”

On September 6, he highlighted a new community initiative in Magnolia: “Great news for our community: A new Safe Haven Baby Box is now available at Magnolia Fire Station #181. These life-saving boxes allow parents in crisis to compassionately surrender infants up to 60 days old anonymously under Texas’ Safe Haven law. Honored to have my team”

Luttrell has held his seat since defeating Laura Jones in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections, securing over two-thirds of the vote each time.
