Congressman Morgan Luttrell, who represents Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives, recently used his social media platform to highlight issues related to national security, economic development, and veterans’ affairs.

On August 13, 2025, Luttrell addressed concerns about America’s reliance on foreign sources for high-purity iron. He wrote, “America is the world’s largest steel importer but has no domestic source of high-purity iron. That’s a national security crisis. @HerthaMetals is fixing it with a 9,000 tonne plant in Conroe, TX — over 500 jobs and American independence.”

The following day, August 14, Luttrell emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in Texas. He stated, “Protecting Texans from cyberattacks is vital to ensuring safety and security for our state’s families. Visited @jpmorgan’s Global Incident Command Center to see how they’re fighting cybercriminals while driving major economic growth here in Houston.”

On August 15, Luttrell turned his attention to veterans’ benefits. He posted, “Outstanding work for our veterans. They earned these benefits — it’s about time the backlog is finally shrinking.”

Morgan Luttrell has held his congressional seat since winning the general election against Laura Jones in both 2022 and 2024 with more than two-thirds of the vote each time.
