Representative Morgan Luttrell, currently serving the 8th district of Texas, has taken to Twitter to discuss pressing issues affecting veterans. Formerly replacing Kevin Brady in 2023, Luttrell has a background from Sam Houston State University and lives in Magnolia, Texas. Here are some of his latest tweets.
Highlighting a significant issue, “Nearly 17 veterans take their own lives every day. That’s unacceptable. Expanding access to service dogs is one way we can make a difference. My bill will help vets facing PTSD, TBI, & other injuries find the support they need.” This tweet, posted on April 2, 2025, underscores the critical importance of providing service dogs to veterans dealing with mental and physical health challenges.
In a subsequent tweet on the same day, “Thrilled to see Secretary Collins and Secretary Kennedy taking seriously psychedelics as a potential treatment for our veterans. Congress needs to act and remove the roadblocks to help our heroes heal.” Luttrell references efforts by Secretaries Collins and Kennedy to consider psychedelics as a viable treatment option for veterans and urges legislative action.
