Morgan Luttrell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 8th district, has recently shared his thoughts on various topics through social media. Serving since 2023 after succeeding Kevin Brady, Luttrell has been active in addressing issues related to national security and veteran affairs.
On March 25, 2025, Luttrell took to social media to pay tribute to those who have received the Medal of Honor. “Today, we honor the heroes who went above and beyond the call of duty — our Medal of Honor recipients. We will never forget their courage, sacrifice, and service.”
Later that day, Luttrell emphasized the importance of enhancing counterterrorism measures to safeguard American lives. He expressed pride in the progress of his legislative efforts with the Syria Terrorism Threat Assessment Act. “Our mission is clear: we must protect American lives & prevent future attacks on our homeland by strengthening our counterterrorism efforts.”
On March 26, 2025, Luttrell highlighted Congressional efforts to improve treatment options for warfighters as an alternative to traditional opioid prescriptions. “This funding—driven by our work in Congress—moves us closer to giving our warfighters better treatment options beyond the same risky opioid prescriptions.”
