Congressman Morgan Luttrell, representing Texas’ 8th district since 2023, has shared his views on recent legislative and economic developments through a series of tweets. Luttrell, who succeeded Kevin Brady in Congress, offers insights into the impact of new legislation and energy policies on American families.

On July 3, 2025, Congressman Luttrell announced the introduction of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. He stated that after “four years of open borders, record inflation, and weakness on the world stage,” this legislation aims to provide “concrete, robust solutions for Texas families.” The bill is described as a significant response to demands made by voters at the ballot box. “After four years of open borders, record inflation, and weakness on the world stage…”

Later that day, Luttrell commented on gas prices reaching their lowest levels since 2021. He highlighted that this decrease comes just in time for the Fourth of July celebrations and is expected to save Americans nearly $500 million over the holiday weekend compared to last year. He attributed these savings to “smart energy policies” that benefit American families financially. “Gas prices are at their lowest levels since 2021 right in time for the Fourth of July…”

On July 4th, Congressman Luttrell reflected on America’s history as a nation built by those who have served in its defense. He expressed gratitude for living in what he considers “the greatest nation on Earth,” crediting its freedom to “the brave men and women who have served our nation with honor.” His message concluded with patriotic sentiments: “God Bless America “. “America has remained the land of the free for 249 years because of the brave men and women…”

Morgan Luttrell was born in Houston in 1975 and currently resides in Magnolia. A graduate from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s degree obtained in 2000, he continues to serve his constituents by addressing both local and national issues.
