Congressman Morgan Luttrell, who represents Texas’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, announced on July 16, 2025, that more than 50 of his provisions have been included in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
In a post published that day, Luttrell stated, “I am pleased to see over 50 of my provisions were secured within the NDAA. Let’s run through some of them “.
He also emphasized Congress’s responsibility to support military personnel, writing on July 16, “America’s warfighters rely on Congress to provide them with the tools necessary to maintain our nation’s standing as the most lethal force in history. The #FY26NDAA does just that — combating our foreign adversaries, countering cyber threats, and supporting our service members.”
Luttrell highlighted specific measures included in the legislation: ” Several provisions to support the training, health, and well-being of our service members. Greenlighting funding for increased development of hypersonics, building on additional funding secured in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”
Morgan Luttrell has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after succeeding Kevin Brady. He was born in Houston in 1975 and currently resides in Magnolia. Luttrell earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University in 2000.
