Morgan Luttrell, representing Texas’ 8th District in the U.S. Congress, has highlighted several issues of importance through his recent statements on social media. Serving since 2023 after replacing Kevin Brady, the congressman resides in Magnolia, Texas, where he graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2000.

On March 31, 2025, Luttrell commended Matthew “Doc” Dantzer, a veteran who settled in Magnolia and founded VFW Post 12213. Luttrell noted Dantzer’s transition from an eight-year service in the Army to becoming the Mayor of Magnolia, highlighting his leadership role within the community.

In another post on March 31, 2025, Luttrell addressed election integrity, stating, “House Republicans are protecting the ballot box from foreign interference. The SAVE Act removes non-citizens from voter rolls and gives states the tools to keep elections secure.” He challenged Democrats to justify any opposition to this measure.

Discussing veteran welfare, Luttrell emphasized the importance of the Service Dogs Assisting Veterans Act on March 31, 2025. He remarked, “Any number above zero is too many veterans lost to suicide. … our heroes fought for us — now we fight for them,” underscoring the potential impact of service dogs on veterans’ mental health.
