Congressman Morgan Luttrell has addressed a range of local and national issues in recent posts on his social media account, from responding to tragic events to highlighting community growth and safety initiatives.
On August 27, 2025, Luttrell expressed condolences following a shooting at a Minneapolis school, stating: “Please join me in prayer for the victims and families affected by today’s shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. My thoughts are with the entire community during this horrific tragedy.”
The following day, Luttrell drew attention to the rapid expansion of Katy, Texas. In an August 28 post he wrote: “Did you know that Katy, TX is one of the fastest growing suburbs in the entire nation? Great to meet with the city’s leadership, including Mayor Pro Tem Chris Harris, Chief of Police Byron Woytek, and Mayor Dusty Thiele.”
Later that same day, he highlighted efforts by local agencies to maintain public safety. On August 28 he posted: “Keeping our communities safe — that’s at the heart of what @houstontranstar does. Grateful for the individuals here who work around the clock helping our local agencies respond to incidents and emergencies.”
Morgan Luttrell has served as U.S. Representative after defeating Laura Jones in both 2022 and 2024 general elections. In 2022 he won with approximately 68% of votes and repeated this margin in 2024 with similar results.
