Congressman Morgan Luttrell, who represents Texas’ 8th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to address issues ranging from federal spending and military policy to disaster recovery efforts.
The following day, July 19, he addressed national security concerns: “After 4 years of weakness & appeasement, our nation’s military is leading once again on the world stage with peace through strength. This bill builds on this restoration by bolstering our national security, advancing our hypersonic capabilities, & hardening our cyber defenses.”
On July 20, Luttrell acknowledged recovery efforts after recent floods: “Over 1,000 Americans from Texas and across the nation have worked relentlessly to account for all those missing from the floods. Their work has resulted in a drop in the number of missing from over 160 to 3. Thank you all for your efforts for our communities.”
Morgan Luttrell began serving as the representative for Texas’s 8th District in 2023 after succeeding Kevin Brady. He was born in Houston in 1975 and currently resides in Magnolia. Luttrell graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2000.
