Morgan Luttrell, a serving Congressman from Texas’ 8th district, has taken to Twitter to voice his opinions on various legislative and security matters. Luttrell, who has been in Congress since 2023, succeeded Kevin Brady and has expressed strong positions on judicial, cybersecurity, and border security issues through a series of tweets.
In a tweet posted on April 1, 2025, Luttrell addressed issues surrounding judicial power in the United States, stating, “One activist judge shouldn’t have the power to shut down the will of the American people. The No Rogue Rulings Act stops nationwide injunctions that block @POTUS from doing the job he was elected to do. Republicans are putting an end to judicial overreach.”
During a Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Subcommittee hearing, Luttrell actively engaged with witnesses on enhancing cybersecurity measures. On April 1, 2025, he posted on Twitter asking, “At the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Subcommittee hearing I asked witnesses how we can address the cyber risk/ cyber threat at the state and local levels.”
Luttrell also voiced support for border security practices under former President Trump. On April 1, 2025, he tweeted, “Border security is national security. Under President Trump, we’re backing up law enforcement with 10,000 troops, shutting down cartels, and stopping the flow of illegal aliens and deadly drugs. America’s safety comes first. Always.”
