Congressman Morgan Luttrell, currently serving Texas’ 8th district, recently shared his involvement and legislative initiatives through a series of tweets. Representing the region since 2023 after succeeding Kevin Brady, Luttrell has been active in addressing issues related to veteran welfare and immigration laws.
On May 7, 2025, Congressman Luttrell announced that his team participated in the American Veterans’ Tour Across America. The initiative aims to raise awareness about veteran suicide and mental health. He emphasized the collective goal: “ensure no veteran is left behind “.
The following day, on May 8, he expressed his stance on immigration-related crime by stating that “illegal aliens who murder Americans should face the ultimate punishment.” Luttrell introduced a bill advocating for justice without borders when it comes to protecting Americans.
Further expanding on this legislative effort later that day, he introduced the Justice for Victims of Illegal Alien Murders Act. He reiterated his position with another tweet saying that those illegally in the country who commit murder should “face the full force of the law.”
