Rep. Dan Crenshaw, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, has expressed his views on issues concerning non-citizens and law enforcement through a series of tweets. Crenshaw replaced Ted Poe in 2019 and has been an active voice in political discourse.
On June 10, 2025, Rep. Crenshaw proposed a new rule via Twitter: “New rule: If you’re a non-citizen and you start hurling bricks at police officers or destroy American taxpayer’s property, you leave the country and can never come back. That’s the RIOT Act.” This statement underscores his stance on maintaining law and order.
Continuing his thoughts into the following day, on June 11, 2025, Crenshaw tweeted “No respect for our laws? No place in our country.” His brief statement reinforces his previous position on law enforcement and immigration policies.
Later that same day, he shared a link to a prior tweet without additional commentary. The link leads back to his earlier statement about non-citizens involved in riots (source).
Born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984, Dan Crenshaw is now 39 years old and resides in Humble. He graduated from Tufts University with a BA in 2006.
