Rep. Dan Crenshaw shared a series of tweets that cover a variety of topics, including a commendation for a prospective Commissioner of Food and Drugs, a major political change in Syria, and reflections on justice for a certain individual. Crenshaw, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd District since 2019, often uses his platform to discuss significant national and international issues.

On March 26, 2025, Crenshaw tweeted about a podcast featuring Marty Makary, expressing approval of his potential role as Commissioner of Food and Drugs. He stated, “Boom. See this clip from when I had @MartyMakary on the podcast. He’s going to be a transformative Commissioner of Food and Drugs.”

In another tweet on March 26, Crenshaw commented on a rapid political shift in Syria, describing the takeover by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, a former Al Qaeda affiliate. He wrote, “In December, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham—a former Al Qaeda affiliate- overthrew the Assad regime in Syria. It happened fast, and almost nobody saw it coming.” Crenshaw discussed the event with Dr. Aaron Zelin, an expert on jihadist movements.

On March 27, 2025, Crenshaw addressed the future of a certain individual’s legal repercussions by stating, “Nice. Whether he’ll be facing U.S. military justice or El Salvador’s version of hard time, the outcome’s the same: misery for a man who earned every second of it.”
