Representative Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. Congressman from Texas, recently addressed a range of topics in several posts on his social media account, including progress at the Department of Veterans Affairs, cooperation with Mexico on cartel extraditions, and a comment on plant-based burgers.

On August 14, 2025, Crenshaw commented on improvements at the Department of Veterans Affairs under the Biden administration: “A 24% backlog increase under Biden is now a 37% decrease. @DeptVetAffairs is showing how it’s done. Great work by @SecVetAffairs Doug Collins.”

Later that day, he posted about ongoing efforts to combat cartel activity in partnership with Mexico: “We finally have a willing and able partner in Mexico. The more we help them and expand their capabilities the more we get cartel leaders like these 26 being perp walked to planes to bring them to the U.S. for justice.” The post included an image showing individuals being extradited.

On August 15, 2025, Crenshaw shared his perspective on plant-based meat alternatives: “Just because you can blend peas into a burger shape doesn’t mean you should.”

Crenshaw has maintained a strong electoral record in Texas congressional races over recent years. In the 2024 general election, he defeated Peter Filler with approximately 65.7% of the vote; in previous cycles he won against Robin Fulford (2022), Sima Ladjevardian (2020), and Todd Litton (2018), consistently securing majorities above 50 percent.
