Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, shared several updates on his official Twitter account on September 5, 2025, focusing on legislative reforms and departmental changes.

In one post, Crenshaw stated: “The One Big Beautiful Bill makes sure that those who need help get help, and that those who don’t, don’t.” (September 5, 2025). He followed up with another tweet about the same bill: “OBBB is a great start at tackling the fraud and loopholes that weaken the program.

And there’s still a lot more we need to cut— like taxpayer funding of soda, candy, and other junk food that hardworking Americans shouldn’t be forced to pay for.” (September 5, 2025).

Later that day, Crenshaw commented on an internal change: “Department of War change is honestly the best part of my week right now.” (September 5, 2025).

Crenshaw has held his congressional seat since first winning election in 2018. In recent elections he secured victories over Democratic opponents by significant margins—including a win in 2024 against Peter Filler with nearly two-thirds of the vote (65.7%), reflecting continued support from his constituency.
