Representative Dan Crenshaw has recently used his social media platform to comment on the principles underpinning the U.S. Constitution and react to current events within conservative circles.

On September 17, 2025, Crenshaw wrote, “Its design — checks, balances, and federalism — reflects the Founders’ clear-eyed view of human nature: power corrupts, so power must be divided. That wisdom is as necessary today as it was in 1787.” On the same day, he also posted a quotation from Russell Kirk: “As Russell Kirk reminded us: ‘True freedom cannot exist without order.’ The Constitution embodies that truth, protecting liberty with guardrails strong enough to restrain the tyranny of the majority.”

A day later, on September 18, 2025, Crenshaw addressed recent reactions surrounding an event involving someone named Charlie. He stated, “Sorry leftists, you can’t have it both ways. It has been amazing to watch our movement call out the disgusting reactions to Charlie’s death AND then seeing corporate America actually take action. The movement Charlie created will only become stronger.”

Dan Crenshaw has represented Texas in Congress since 2018 and has consistently won reelection by significant margins. In 2024 he defeated Peter Filler with nearly two-thirds of the vote. In previous cycles—2022 against Robin Fulford, 2020 against Sima Ladjevardian, and 2018 against Todd Litton—he similarly secured decisive victories.
