Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 2nd district since 2019, recently shared his views on current policy debates via social media. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 and a graduate of Tufts University, Crenshaw has been an active voice in political discussions.

On May 14, 2025, Crenshaw questioned the foundation of certain policies, suggesting they are built on emotion rather than evidence. He stated: “What happens when policy is built on emotion instead of evidence? You get eNvirOnMenTal jUstiCe: ⁃ De facto EV mandates that try to force Americans to buy expensive cars, stripping away consumer choice ⁃ A methane tax that punishes U.S. producers and rewards foreign”.

Later that day, at 3:40 a.m., after extensive debate over President Trump’s legislative proposal known as the “Big Beautiful Bill,” Crenshaw claimed he provoked strong reactions from Democrats by challenging their statements about Medicaid reforms. He tweeted: “At 3:40 a.m. this morning, after 14 hours debating President Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill (still debating now by the way), I made Democrats lose their minds. Why? Because I called out their lies. They’ve been spreading blatant falsehoods about Medicaid reforms — scaring”.

Continuing the discussion on the same day, Crenshaw emphasized the importance of factual discourse during these debates. He remarked: “It’s easy to win when we have truth on our side. After 26+ hours debating this one part of The Big Beautiful Bill, we debunked a lot of lies being spread by Democrats about Medicaid. Listen carefully to the facts, this stuff is important.”

Dan Crenshaw resides in Humble and continues to engage actively in legislative matters affecting his constituents and broader national policies.
