Representative Dan Crenshaw, a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives, posted a series of tweets on October 21, 2025, criticizing Democrats over the ongoing government shutdown.

In one of his posts, Crenshaw wrote, “I’m just gonna keep posting these hypocrites until it starts to sink in. Day 21 of the Democrats’ temper tantrum shutdown. https://t.co/HD24x5BTXl” (October 21, 2025). Two other tweets from the same day contained only links: “https://t.co/ZlzXM8AJMM” and “https://t.co/NEUb5QM6CZ”.

Crenshaw has represented Texas in Congress since 2018. He has won multiple re-election campaigns by significant margins, including victories over Peter Filler in 2024 (65.7% to 34.3%), Robin Fulford in 2022 (65.9% to 34%), Sima Ladjevardian in 2020 (55.6% to 42.8%), and Todd Litton in 2018 (52.8% to 45.6%).

The October 2025 tweets reflect ongoing partisan tensions during a prolonged federal government shutdown, which Crenshaw attributes to Democratic lawmakers.
