Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, has expressed concerns regarding the situation at the southern border of the United States through a series of tweets. His comments were made on September 17, 2024, and highlight his views on the current administration’s handling of border issues.

In a tweet posted on September 17, 2024, Crenshaw stated: “The crisis at our southern border isn’t getting better—Biden and Harris are just getting better at hiding it. Here’s their strategy: https://t.co/TrUBDB3zik“. He criticized President Biden and Vice President Harris for allegedly concealing the ongoing border crisis.

Continuing his critique in another tweet from the same day, Crenshaw claimed: “And roll out half-hearted enforcement measures at the border so they can claim a political win that doesn’t actually mean anything.” He suggested that the administration’s actions are more about political appearances than substantive solutions.

Further elaborating on his point, Crenshaw tweeted: “They’ve expanded a mass parole program, using the CBP One app to artificially drop the number of illegal encounters, all while avoiding the media spectacle of migrants surrendering to border patrol.” This statement accuses the administration of manipulating statistics to downplay illegal crossings.
