Representative Dan Crenshaw, a Republican member of Congress from Texas, recently shared several posts on his social media account discussing U.S. security strategy, international relations, and domestic political discourse.

On September 3, 2025, Crenshaw addressed the cost-effectiveness of military deterrence compared to interdiction methods. He wrote, “Interdiction is expensive. Know what’s cheaper and way more effective? Making them wonder if a bomb is about to drop on their head.”

The following day, September 4, he commented on recent developments in U.S.–Mexico security cooperation under President Trump and Secretary Rubio. Crenshaw stated, “President Trump and Secretary Rubio have secured the strongest U.S.–Mexico security coordination we’ve seen in years. It’s serious, it’s operational, and it shows Mexico is ready to work. I’ve proposed that Congress back up the administration’s efforts with the North American”.

Later that same day, Crenshaw criticized remarks made by an unnamed U.S. Senator regarding the source of individual rights in America. He posted: “This might be one of the most ignorant, anti-western statements ever made by a U.S. Senator, making a moral equivocation between the American founding and the Iranian terrorist regime. His claim is that rights do not come from our Creator, but from government. That is the same”.

Crenshaw has held his congressional seat since 2018 after defeating Todd Litton in that year’s general election with 52.8% of the vote to Litton’s 45.6%. He has maintained significant electoral support in subsequent elections: winning against Sima Ladjevardian in 2020 with 55.6%, Robin Fulford in 2022 with 65.9%, and Peter Filler in 2024 with 65.7%.
