Representative Dan Crenshaw, a Republican congressman from Texas, addressed topics ranging from crime to international cooperation in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) between August 28 and August 29, 2025.
On August 28, Crenshaw responded to commentary about public safety concerns with the post: “lol ‘the crime and carjackings that don’t actually matter to that many Americans.’ Say it with me: THIS IS WHY YOU LOST.” He followed up later the same day by addressing the application of hate crime laws, stating: “Good. It’s about time that ‘hate crimes’ were applied equally to all kinds of hate crimes. Kash doesn’t mess around.”
The next morning, Crenshaw praised recent anti-cartel efforts and bilateral cooperation between Mexico and the United States. He wrote: “Another awesome example of crushing cartel activity. Hats off to the Mexican Navy. And the cooperation with the US hasn’t been this strong in years, which is a testament to both President Trump and President Sheinbaum. We need more of this.”
Crenshaw has consistently secured re-election since first winning his seat in 2018, defeating Todd Litton that year before subsequent victories over Sima Ladjevardian in 2020, Robin Fulford in 2022, and Peter Filler in 2024.
