Representative Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. Congressman from Texas, recently commented on a series of issues ranging from drug enforcement efforts in Mexico to hurricane preparedness and recognition of distinguished achievements.
On August 19, 2025, Crenshaw highlighted recent actions by Mexican authorities in the Sinaloa region, stating, “The Mexican government seized 661 pounds of meth and tons of chemical precursors right in Culiacán, the Sinaloa Cartel’s heartland. That’s a big deal. These kinds of operations weren’t the norm before, now they are. Still a lot more work we can do together.”
Later that day, Crenshaw addressed constituents about hurricane season along the Gulf Coast. He posted on August 19, 2025: “The Gulf of America: where freedom flows, and hurricanes bring occasional chaos. As we enter the most active stretch of hurricane season—now through late September—it might be a good time to make sure you’ve got the basics covered and a plan in place in case things take a turn.”
On August 21, 2025, he shared his thoughts on an unspecified individual or group’s career accomplishments with the brief message: “Truly a résumé unlike any other in the world.”
Dan Crenshaw has represented Texas’s Second Congressional District since his initial election victory over Todd Litton in 2018. He subsequently won reelection against Sima Ladjevardian in 2020 (55.6% to 42.8%), Robin Fulford in 2022 (65.9% to 34%), and Peter Filler in 2024 (65.7% to 34.3%).
