Rep. Dan Crenshaw, U.S. Congressman from Texas, used his social media platform to inform followers about his participation in a CNN panel responding to a town hall featuring Senators Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC). Crenshaw posted a series of messages between October 15 and October 16, 2025, detailing his involvement and views on the event.
On October 15, Crenshaw notified followers of the upcoming programming on CNN: “PSA: Since you’re probably not watching CNN tonight, you should know that Bernie Sanders and AOC will be doing a “townhall” at 9 pm EST. And you should know I’ll be on the panel right after that to respond to everything they say. Tune in at 10:30 EST. This should get”.
Later that evening, Crenshaw encouraged viewers to watch the program live by posting: “Live now- tune in! https://t.co/C6slrzPvHA” on October 16.
Following the event, Crenshaw commented on its content with another post on October 16: “CNN invited me to respond to AOC and Bernie’s “town hall.” Spoiler: they spent 90 minutes blaming Republicans for their own shutdown. I set the record straight. https://t.co/YdWzPlFGsU”.
Dan Crenshaw has represented Texas in Congress since first winning election in 2018. He has secured reelection in each subsequent cycle, defeating Todd Litton in 2018 with 52.8% of the vote, Sima Ladjevardian in 2020 with 55.6%, Robin Fulford in 2022 with 65.9%, and Peter Filler in 2024 with 65.7%.
