Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a Republican member of Congress, posted a series of tweets on August 12 and 13, 2025, addressing issues ranging from allegations against Rep. Adam Schiff to commentary on foreign affairs and tax legislation.
On August 12, Crenshaw alleged misconduct by Rep. Adam Schiff, writing: “A Democrat staff whistleblower has confirmed it: Adam Schiff purposefully leaked classified information, and ordered his staff to illegally leak classified informaton that would hurt President Trump. This isn’t just politics, it’s a crime—and Adam Schiff knew he was violating https://t.co/yMilyFjOXV”.
Later the same day, Crenshaw commented on an incident involving the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and a Filipino ship: “I would send prayers out to the PLA for their tragic loss while harassing a Filipino ship, but….they’re godless communists. So, never mind. Karma. https://t.co/43CBRE3ngt”.
On August 13, Crenshaw addressed tax policy and legislative efforts by Republicans in Congress: “Let’s make the One Big Beautiful Bill really simple for everyone. Your taxes (yes, you, everyone) were automatically going up in December, by law. Republicans wouldn’t let that happen. That’s what the OBBB was about. Democrats? Apparently their campaign platform is simple: they”.
Crenshaw has represented his district through several election cycles with consistent victories over Democratic challengers—defeating Peter Filler in 2024 with nearly two-thirds of the vote; Robin Fulford in 2022; Sima Ladjevardian in 2020; and Todd Litton in 2018.
