Representative Dan Crenshaw, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Texas, posted a series of tweets on September 2 and 3, 2025, addressing recent protests and commenting on national security developments.

On September 2, Crenshaw commented on an incident in Washington D.C., writing, “This is either a man pretending to be a baby or a really dumb protest against the National Guard – or both. But at least DC is safer. First thing I’ll do when I get back this week is check to see if those same creeps are hanging out by the playground in Garfield Park. Yes,” referencing what he described as unusual protest activity near the National Guard and public spaces.

Later that day, Crenshaw criticized protesters’ approach to civic engagement and their opposition to local projects. He stated on September 2, “Emotional instability coupled with insurmountable knowledge deficits generates hysterical theatrics masquerading as civic engagement. They even protested local flood mitigation projects we discussed. Democrats are a lost party.”

In a tweet dated September 3, Crenshaw responded to what he described as significant action within the Western Hemisphere: “Incredibly bold use of force like we haven’t seen in decades in our own Western Hemisphere. Finally, we have a President that is standing up to the enemies right in our own backyard.”

Crenshaw has held his congressional seat since first winning election in 2018 and has consistently secured re-election by significant margins: defeating Todd Litton in 2018 (52.8%–45.6%), Sima Ladjevardian in 2020 (55.6%–42.8%), Robin Fulford in 2022 (65.9%–34%), and Peter Filler most recently in 2024 (65.7%–34.3%).
