Representative Dan Crenshaw, a Republican congressman from Texas, posted a series of tweets on September 16, 2025, commenting on political developments and expressing concerns about the normalization of political violence.

In his first tweet at 02:05 UTC, Crenshaw stated, “And we got another one.” Later that day at 17:55 UTC, he wrote, “I’ll take Kash versus Corey Booker any day.” In his third post at 18:27 UTC, Crenshaw addressed broader issues regarding political discourse and violence: “Truth: the normalization of political violence is a small step away from TERRORISM. Terrorists always believe their victims are evil in some way.

‘Very liberal’ isn’t your traditional liberal, it’s a totalitarian progressive. The ‘progress’ always seems to be another step toward”

Crenshaw has represented Texas in Congress since winning his first election in 2018. He secured reelection in subsequent cycles with significant margins—defeating Todd Litton in 2018 with 52.8% of the vote to Litton’s 45.6%, Sima Ladjevardian in 2020 with 55.6% to Ladjevardian’s 42.8%, Robin Fulford in 2022 with 65.9% to Fulford’s 34%, and Peter Filler in 2024 with 65.7% to Filler’s 34.3%.
