Rep. Dan Crenshaw, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, has been vocal on several issues through his social media platform. His recent tweets cover topics ranging from judicial authority to fiscal policy and political commentary.
On June 4, 2025, Crenshaw expressed concerns about the actions of District Court judges, stating “This is textbook overreach. District Court judges are abusing their Article III authority by attempting to obstruct President Trump and govern the country through nationwide injunctions.” He noted that in a span of four months, there have been more nationwide injunctions than during previous administrations.
Later that day, he addressed budgetary issues with a focus on healthcare spending. In a tweet posted on June 4, 2025, he highlighted financial projections from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), mentioning “The latest projections from @USCBO show that my amendment banning taxpayer-funded gender transitions will result in more than $2.5 billion in savings over the next decade.” This forms part of a larger Republican effort within the House Commerce Committee aiming for over $1 trillion in savings.
On June 5, 2025, Crenshaw commented on political narratives and credibility. He tweeted “You can’t spend more than 2 years telling the American people the ship is fine… then sell a book about how it was sinking the whole time… and expect anyone to take you seriously “, reflecting skepticism towards shifting political statements.
Dan Crenshaw has served in Congress since replacing Ted Poe in 2019. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 and currently residing in Humble, Texas, he graduated from Tufts University with a BA in 2006.
