U.S. Representative Dan Crenshaw commented on criminal justice policy and shared personal reflections in a series of posts on August 25, 2025.
In a post at 17:53 UTC, Crenshaw wrote, “This is actually genius policy, not just chest thumping. The “cashless bail” issue gets to the root of the crime problem. The problem isn’t police. The problem is bad judges and DA’s that let dangerous criminals back on the streets after police lock them up. Luckily for Texans, https://t.co/subFvhcwwa”.
Later that day at 19:15 UTC, he reposted an article about a former colleague and friend: “Reposted anyway, great article about my friend, former SEAL Caleb Foreman, our deployment to Afghanistan, and life after the Teams. https://t.co/xYJHzJ0veV”. He also posted a separate link at the same time: “https://t.co/cCc8tCSb4L”.
Dan Crenshaw has represented Texas in Congress since 2019 and has won several general elections by significant margins. In 2024, he defeated Peter Filler with 65.7% of the vote; in previous cycles he won against Robin Fulford (2022), Sima Ladjevardian (2020), and Todd Litton (2018) with similar majorities.
