Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office, the communication arm of Congressman Wesley Hunt, shared a series of tweets on June 9 and 10, 2025, addressing recent riots across the United States. The tweets criticize the Democratic Party’s response to these events and highlight specific incidents in Los Angeles.

On June 9, 2025, Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office tweeted about ongoing riots: “Watch as Democrats call these riots peaceful. Burning the American flag, blowing up cars, destroying public property, and throwing bricks at law enforcement is not peace—it’s domestic terrorism.” This statement challenges characterizations of the events as peaceful protests.

Later that day, another tweet from Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office commented on the spread of these riots nationwide: “Just like that the riots spread nationwide! What do Dems do in response? Well, Nancy Pelosi states that this behavior is ‘understandable.’ Instead of condemning violence Dems encourage it.” This tweet criticizes former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s remarks and accuses Democrats of fostering violence.

On June 10, 2025, a further post highlighted continued unrest in Los Angeles related to anti-ICE protests: “LA Anti-ICE riots continue through the night. Rioters continue to protect criminal migrants as Gavin Newsom continues to do nothing as his city burns!” This tweet focuses on California Governor Gavin Newsom’s perceived inaction during these disturbances.

Wesley Hunt has served in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’s 38th District since 2023. Born in Houston in 1981 and currently residing there at age 41, he continues to engage actively with national issues through his press office communications.
